HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU RUMAH TANGGA TENTANG PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DOMESTIK DENGAN PERILAKU PEMBUANGAN SAMPAH DI DESA LOT KALA KECAMATAN KEBAYAKAN KABUPATEN ACEH TENGAH TAHUN 2023

Abstract

Garbage has great potential in causing environmental health problems if not managed properly. The more advanced and complex the human lifestyle leads to the more diverse types and composition of waste. Judging from the composition, generally urban waste is dominated by organic waste from household kitchens. This study aims to find out the Relationship Between Knowledge and Attitudes of Housewives on Domestic Waste Management and Waste Disposal Behavior in Lot Kala Village, Kebayakan District, Central Aceh District in 2023. This type of research is analytical with cross sectional design. The population in this study was as many as 378 households in Kala Lot Kala Village, Kebayakan District, Central Aceh Regency. The samples in this study were 71 samples determined using random sampling that is sampling using slovin formula. Data collection has been conducted from 02 to 12 May 2023 using questionnaires. Of the 17 respondents (100%), the majority of respondents were knowledgeable about waste management as many as 40 respondents (56.3%), and from 71 respondents (100%), the majority of respondents with a positive attitude about waste management as many as 38 respondents (53.5%).It was concluded that there is a meaningful relationship between the year, the attitude of housewives waste disposal behavior obtained the value of P Value 0.000 (P ≤ 0.05). It is recommended to housewives and the public the need to raise awareness about the importance of waste management, in order to create a clean environment.
